Jennifer Loomis Photography is best known for our maternity photography sessions, but almost half of our clients come to us strictly for family photography sessions. When you come in for a pregnancy photo shoot, we want you to walk away feeling beautiful and seeing your body in a new way. For family photo shoots, we are trained as documentary photographers and capture those special relationships with each member of your family. We pride ourselves on our ability to personally tailor each session to you. By having conversations with all potential clients, we get a better knowledge of what you are looking for in not only your photos, but in your entire experience with us. All photography sessions include a personal edit with your photographer either in person or on the phone, regarding cropping, enhancing and framing suggestions.

We are devoted to delivering fine art photography, with a documentary photographer's sensibility, and the highest quality images possible. Each photographer's years of experience and expertise in maternity and family photography is a large reason why our clients continue to return year after year.

How to prepare for your maternity or family photography session

When to schedule

Please plan on scheduling your photography session six to ten weeks before your due date. Of course if you are closer than that, just give us a call. We have been known to do some creative scheduling to fit you in. We even had a woman go into labor during the shoot. The baby was born that night, the same day her photos were taken! We are by appointment only. If you don't hear back from us within two business days, please call or email again because, on occasion, technology blips we'll prevent us from receiving your inquiry.

Photography Sessions

The Creative Session

This is our most expensive session but also the best value. It is recommended for families with more than three people, as well as for pregnant women who want to us to spend a little more time experimenting in the studio.

This session includes:

Your Creative Maternity Photography Session usually lasts about three hours. Your Creative Family Photography Session is scheduled for three hours but usually lasts between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 hours depending on your children. The Creative Session also allows the photographer to be more "creative" because there is more film to work with.

The Signature Session

The Signature Session got its name because it was the original session that Jennifer offered when she started photographing pregnant women. It is the ideal choice for a family of three or less, as well as for pregnant women who decide to have their photographs done alone. This session includes:

Your Signature Maternity Photography Session lasts about two hours in our studio and three hours in home. Your Signature Family Photography Session are often quicker because children have less tolerance for long shoots.

The One-Roll Session

True to its name, the One-Roll Session consists of one roll of film. This session is idea for clients who are on a budget, but they know they want Jennifer to capture this time. This session includes:

This is a Signature Session but with a little extra luxury. You choose either one, two or three of the following items:
