For photographers who want to join our team but you don’t live in one of our areas of coverage, we are looking for you to be a part of a new section of our website called Jennifer Recommends. Please contact us.

Jennifer Loomis is known as the premier fine-art maternity photographer, best known for her groundbreaking work with the pregnant nude and for helping society redefine the image of the pregnant female form. Since she started Jennifer Loomis Photography in 1994, Jennifer has photographed more than 1,500 women and their families, from welfare mothers to the wives of celebrities. Known as a pioneer in the genre, Jennifer is one of the first maternity photographers to successfully combine a previous career in photojournalism with fine-art photography. Her work has caught the attention of another pioneer, Annie Leibovitz, whose studio manager began referring maternity clients to her in the '90s. Jennifer operates studios in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York and will fly to other locations depending on the demand of clients. She recently published her first book, Portraits of Pregnancy: The Birth of a Mother(Sentient, $24.95) which combines sensitive and compelling fine-art photographs with stories and quotes about the challenges and triumphs of becoming a mother, such as balancing motherhood and career, and infertility. Her pregnancy work was featured in an exhibition at Palazzo della Penna Museum of Contemporary Art in Perugia, Italy. And her work has been prominently featured in the media, including Entertainment Tonight, TIME Magazine, CBS's The Morning Show, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, Fit Pregnancy, Pregnancy Magazine, NPR, Good Morning America, and Inside Edition. MossMoss is a 18 year-old gray tabby, born in Oakland. Moss has traveled the United States but now spends most of his day sleeping on his heating pad or in warm dark quiet places like the closet. Known as the vampire kitty, Moss shows up every evening around 8 PM. Not one to work hard, Moss is lazy and cannot take credit for her success. But he protects her house from small and large rodents, and as a dog-hater, he regularly puts Salvador in his place. He prides himself on his vocal ability and regularly wakes Jennifer up at 5 am so she can start her daily routine of meditation, yoga, exercise and dog walking. Of course if the sun isn't too high, he likes to sit on her lap during meditation as a test.
