Maternity photography is a special genre of portrait photography. There are moments that you witness that are so special. That is how I felt when I met maternity photography clients, Ana and Zoran. They had a special relationship: the photos tell it.
1. Tell me a little bit about yourself, Zoran and how you met. Why you decided to have kids. Was it an easy process?
Zoran and I met in New York more than 15 years ago. Our relationship started as a friendship and grew into the love of our lives. Things were challenging at times, but we always felt that the bond we shared was worth fighting for. Motherhood was not an intuitive choice for me and it took me a while to fully appreciate that I had it in me. It was Zoran’s kindness and love that led me to a place where I found strength and confidence to embark on this amazing journey….
2. What is your secret to a good relationship? OR what is your secret to happiness? OR how do you want to guide this little person in the world?
Our relationship is based on unconditional love for each other and the feeling that being together brings the best out of us. Laughing together as often as possible, as well as being there for each other when life gets tough, is our secret to being happy together. We hope to give our little girl tons of love and support to help her become the person she wants to be…
3. Tell me about why you decided to have professional family or maternity photography, and why you trusted me to take these special photos.
I just fell in love with your maternity photography the moment I laid my eyes on some of your photographs. The more I researched your work, the more I loved it. It didn’t take long to understand that your photographs were how I wanted to capture this special period in our life and to mark the very beginning of parenthood.
4. Please feel free to include anything else you like that is interesting about you or your parenting philosophy. AKA books you read, or like whatever.
We believe that nothing matches the joy of watching a child grow and being there for her. Every day of my pregnancy was a step closer to being able to embrace that joy and a wonderful bonding experience for us as a couple. I found this state of expecting the new phase in life to be both thrilling and peacefully sacred….
These are some good questions! Thanks again for sharing this experience with us,
